WAKE UP AMERICA BEFORE ITS TOO LATE TO BE FREE!
This week President Obama made a decision to grant amnesty to over 800,000 illegal immigrants through executive order. Should our president be able to simply change the law of the land with a stroke of his pen? Have we forgotten our civics 101 lesson on separation of powers? Where is the outrage from our representatives? Why do we have a congress if the the laws of the land can be rewritten by the president without debate or vote? Even President Obama does not agree with this unconstitutional act. Have a listen to this!
An entire generation has been primed and prepped to reach the level of liberalism that prevails in our nation today. Many youth don’t even know who our forefathers were; how can they be expected to know if they would be proud of them or if our founding fathers would be proud of this generation?
If Lincoln was right when he said “The philosophy of the school room in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next,” that would account in part, for the many statesmen and politicians without any moral fervor or conviction in the halls of congress and the senate, and dare we include the White House?
Evidence of that can be seen as the congress and its committees ponder and prattle over a myriad of new laws and regulations, while the death of a sworn officer of the law, (Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry) due to a failed scheme called ‘fast and furious,’ has still brought no one to answer for the horrible loss of his life. Not a shred of pride can be detected in this behavior.
Returning to the classroom we will find that America’s fathers are not the only ones to be shelved for presumably higher things. The idea that God is not father to us all and the very creator of all things has also had a generational long debut and has produced a generation that thinks it is fatherless and without a creator. How could they be expected to see Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and others as fathers?
I always enjoy and look forward to reading the thoughts of Retired Navy Captain Jim Kinny. You can learn more about him at his website Inspire and Ignite and also have his words sent directly to your email box. I thought this subject was particularly interesting a good topic to discuss around the dinner table. ~Anne
Have you ever asked yourself about God’s politics? Is God a Democrat, Republican or Independent? In those terms God is certainly an Independent. Given those choices He is most certainly an Independent…but if you asked the question differently…Is God liberal conservative, the answer may surprise you.
Given the written record of God’s character as revealed in Scripture, God is most assuredly a conservative. Consider the evidence:
- In the very beginning God expected man to work
- From the very beginning God established individual accountability and personal responsibility.
- In the Garden, God declared that marriage is between one man and one woman.
- God established the nuclear family as the basic building block of society
- God endorsed personal property rights, including the right to own land and to keep the fruit of one’s labor.
- God is pro-life.
- The Ten Commandments confirm God’s commitment to an absolute standard of right and wrong
- God established the death penalty
- God expects us to honor the preeminence of Spiritual principal over government regulation.
- God endorses personal generosity to support the poor and never once suggests the establishment of government welfare programs.
Sadly, this sobering video describes what is happening in our America today. The coal industry is being destroyed even though we have an abundant supply and it is 90% cleaner than it was. Small businesses are stressed under all of the new regulations and paperwork. Taxes will be going up next year. Utility bills will triple as our President promised us. Every area of of lives will be controlled. We will pay $60 for a light bulb as light bulb factories close down. I don’t understand how we Americans can be so ignorant and support anti-free market leaders. Our children will suffer because of our foolishness…and America will not ever be the America we were privileged to grow up in. We only have ourselves to blame. Praying for God’s mercy and forgiveness.
One afternoon a man came home from work to find total mayhem in his house. His three children were outside, still in their P.J.’s, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers thrown all about the front yard. The door to his wife’s car was open, as was the front door to the house. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess.
A lamp had been knocked over, and a throw rug was wadded against one wall. In the front room the TV was blaring a cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, Breakfast food was spilled on the counter, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand lay piled up by the back door.
He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and other piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried that she might be ill, or worse!!
He found her lounging into the bedroom, still in her pajamas, reading a novel.
She smiled, looked up at him and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, “What happened here today?”
I received this letter in my email box recently. Perhaps I’m not comprehending this correctly, because I am hearing very little outrage…where is the condemnation? Could it actually be describing what I think it is describing? Shouldn’t we be alarmed? Why isn’t this all over the news and on the front page of our newspapers? Have we already been under a dictatorship that was not implemented during past administrations? If so, this is news to me. Please comment on this one….indeed this is something we should be talking about around our kitchen tables…tonight! Praying for our America.
This public domain film from 1948 reminds me of the term TANSTAAFL (There ain’t no such thing as a free lunch) Each “free” thing given to us from the government requires something from us. Someone pays for each government hand-out. Our freedom and personal liberties are always one of the prices to pay for more stuff from the state.
This very silly version of a classic tale makes us laugh…but should probably make us cry because it illustrates what is happening in our country. I see our America changing in so many ways and soon, if things don’t change, it will be unrecognizable to us. My children giggled while reading the modern version….I’m afraid I did not giggle as much.
The Ant & The Grasshopper
The ant works
hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.
thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the ant is warm
and well fed.
The grasshopper has
no food or shelter, so he
dies out in the cold.
MORAL OF THE OLD STORY:
Be responsible for yourself!
The ant works hard
in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house
and laying up supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks the ant
is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the shivering grasshopper
calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be
allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving..
CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN,
and ABC show up to
provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper
next to a video of the ant
in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.
America is stunned by the sharp contrast.
Get an education from Prager University….and have your children watch and learn as well. In this short video Mr. Prager shows us that capitalism teaches people to work harder while the welfare state teaches people to want harder.
